High School Students
FYI:
- Every student in the class must post.
- Posts must be (5) five or more complete sentences.
- You must give a (reflective, thoughtful, opinionated, enlightening) response to one other students post in the forum.
Social Media sites are such a big part of the Internet surfers life no a days. What are your thoughts on social media sites like, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Snapchat, Google+, etc... Please give your overall opinion including why. In addition, support social media with (3) three reasons and then give me (3) three reasons why you oppose social media sites for society.
In my opinion, social media sites are pointless. The only reasons I use them is too ask my family members how they are doing, it's a quick way to get a hold of my friends when I need them, and to upload information from the sports I play, to let my family and friends that couldn't be there, know how we did. There are many reasons why I very dislike social media sites. First, there is so much bullying on them that it's ridiculous. When those kids got picked on they dropped out of school, suffered from extreme depression, and even ended up taking their own life. I don't think I need to even put another reason becuase that's a pretty strong one in my opinion!!
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on social media sites? I think Its taking over our lives. We worry to much about whats going on on the internet and less about the real world. People are becoming so addicted to Facebook that they sit inside all day causing them to gain unhealthy eating habits, making an obese society. There are positive things to social media sites, like keeping in touch with long distance friends and family. Some people even use these sites to get information. So social medias good, as long as you don't use it too much!

Delete**** now a day **** social media helps use to get info to people quick. it is faster than what people used to use to get messages to others. it is a bad thing because people are getting lazier and lazier. also people are more scudded from others because of social media.

i didnt think about the bullying thing, in fact i was sitting on facebook talking to my mom the other day and i seen a status a boy put up degrading his sister by calling her fat, ugly and worthless. it was quite pathetic and i was mad because bullying is wrong and youre supposed to always be there for family... grrrr! but good points!
