Lateral Thoughts

High School Students

FYI:
  1. Every student in the class must post.
  2. Posts must be (5) five or more complete sentences.
  3. You must give a (reflective, thoughtful, opinionated, enlightening) response to one other students post in the forum.

Do you remember when we did lateral thoughts in middle school? What purpose do you see in riddles & problems like this? How do they help your brain?

  1. Yes sir, i do remember i always looked forward to doing them. I think they make the brain actually work. They help the brain use all of itself to make you think harder.

    2. Kate, I agree they do, but there is nothing else you could have added for that. Your post isn't following the criteria. Please think above and beyond. Post with purpose. Thanks!

  3. i liked the lateral thoughts because they made you think outside the box. They were very fun and tricky. I always looked forward to them. It also puts a new perspective on things. It really makes you think about all the things you have been missing.

  5. I always looked forward to these! They were always very interesting and well thought out. They sure did make you think outside the box. They were all at different levels, some were easy and some i just could not get. I think all grades should do these!

  7. I think lateral thoughts are very interesting. To figure them out, you need to use higher order thinking. They also make you think outside the box. I also think lateral thoughts should be used in education.

  8. I used to love lateral thoughts. The whole point of them is to get your mind working & really for you to just think outside of the box. They are fun, but you're learning at the same time.
