High School Students
FYI:- Every student in the class must post.
- Posts must be (5) five or more complete sentences.
- You must give a (reflective, thoughtful, opinionated, enlightening) response to one other students post in the forum.
This is very similar to the "Autocorrect Humanity" video, but this one deals with missing opportunities in life, because we are so lost in in our mobile devices. Watch this video and respond, remember the criteria asked of you. I know cell phones are an amazing thing that can do just about anything with. We can learn, grow, become familiar and comfortable with computers, but we are missing some key things to life. We are loosing some key values to being a social human being. Please be serious and think about the message in this video. What are your thoughts? Please be thoughtful, critical and detailed in your post. Like stated in the last blog, these blog topics are to enlighten you and your fellow students. The link to the video is, "Look Up." You can find it on YouTube by doing a search.
So far the video "Look Up" is my favorite video, I agreed with everything in the video. The world around around us is a beautiful thing & we should not have to use technology to keep us entertained, go outside, make new friends, go to the gym, play sports, do something! There are so many great things in the world, I am sure there is something everybody can do that they would enjoy. Look up from your technology!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Shawna I think we shouldn't use technology as much as we do in our everyday life. I think if we got off of social media we would have better communication skills and other things we can enjoy. There is so much to this world we don't get to experience, so look up and go explore the world.
DeleteI 100% agree with Shawna. We should not have to rely on technology to have friends or just be entertained! Technology is not a bad thing for say, it is honestly a great tool for most people, but some others abuse it too much... Go out and play!

DeleteThe video look up was all about how you need to look up from your phone and be more active. Everyone needs to be more physically active and socially active and get off there phones.People are on there phones way too much and don't ever talk to anyone in person its always over the internet. People should hangout more in person and become more active. People should go outside and actually hangout.

ReplyDeleteI liked the video, it had a good point to it. People need to get off their phones and get to know the world around them. They shouldn't be on them all the time. There are appropriate times when you should and shouldn't use them. Go out side, meet up with friends or just take a walk in the park. I don't like seeing people ignoring their friends when they're trying to hang out. People just need to go out and live an actual life.

DeleteThat is a good point. People miss many opportunities in life because they are costanty on their phones. Phones and electronics can be very useful but they arent if you are on them constantly.

ReplyDeletei agree with the "look up" video. having our mobile devices we are missing so many beautiful things in life. we are missing moments that we can never get back. if we could just look there are so many things we could realize we are missing. We could miss a chance to start a new friendship instead of adding more friends on social medias. there are some amazing opportunities out there if we just would look up.

DeleteLike i had said on my essay of this, I have been there on my electronic alot than I should. This video is very informative and it approaches some very deep things that could most absolutley change your life. It hits some points that all this new type of entertainment is not chosen from your own self or friends it is all digitally and fake. Entertainment from music videos, movies, and just a video game or show, it allows you to be entertained by a false or phony paid entertainment device. We miss so many moments of " would you like to play at the park? " And you may get a response of no im busy and they are sitting there watching sports and on the coach doing noting with there life. It reflects on everyones live and thanks to this video it changed the way i decieve the world.

ReplyDeleteWe all should spend more time outside rather than inside on electronics. Some people have passed up rare opportunities in their lives because they want to spend all day on their phones. Social media (such as Twitter, Vine, and Instagram) have had a huge impact on everyone. Some people would rather have followers than real friends. Others want likes and revines rather than real reactions from friends. Just go outside and live your life the way you should, in real life, in the real world.
