Middle/High School Students
FYI:- Every student in the class must post.
- Posts must be (5) five or more complete sentences.
- You must give a (reflective, thoughtful, opinionated, enlightening) response to one other students post in the forum.
Explain to me why you think (or know) adolescents act out, speak harshly to
other students and disrespect adults? What can we (adults and fellow peers) do about this? How can
students change their behaviors? Why should they? Do or can their actions affect them in the near and distant future?
Adolescents act out or speak harshly because maybe their home life sucks and or they are going through a tough time and they feel like no one is there so they have to act out in any way they know how and sometimes the only way they know how is aggression. They shouldn't be punished i think they should go to counseling or have someone talk to them about it.
ReplyDeleteI agree it could possibly be their home life. Many things build up people and family is one of them and when they don't have that support it is hard for them to grasp the understanding of respect and kindness.
DeleteI also agree with this and most adolescents (including myself) don't see the outcome and the reasons for the actions they partake in
DeleteI also agree. The home life could be a great impact on the way kids act. However when it comes to the older of the students, they should know enough to get help or someone to talk to weather it be a school counsiler or teacher or someone you know well, and learn how to control their aggression.
DeleteI agree, often when an adolescent acts out there is more to the story than what's on the surface.
DeleteGood stuff guys! You all brought something to the table. Keep up the good work, this is how we grow!
