What Motivates You to Learn?

High School Students

Motivation is a big part of life, not just for you in school, but with everything. I would like to know your thoughts are on what motivates you to learn in school? What helps to give you that drive to do a good job in a class, during a unit, during a lesson or for that day?

FYI:

  1. I am asking each of you to think carefully about the above question.
  2. Please answer with sincerity and thoughtfulness. I as your educator, am working hard to make learning fun, stimulating and enjoyable for you.
  3. I encourage you to not only post to my question, but please reblog to at least two others responses. Maybe words of encouragement or discovery.
  4. Question #3 is not a requirement, but I highly recommended you respond, as the results could benefit you and your fellow classmates.

  1. Motivation is a big part of life. What motivates me in school is to get good grades to get into a good college. I make sure to get all my work done even if I don't want to, because it feels good to have it done and to know you received a good grade. You need motivation to do good in school.

  2. What motivates me to do well in school? Well, that's not that hard to explain. Motivation is a very, very large part of life. I want to get into a good college, and get a good job once I get older. I push myself to do all these things in classes and learn to look at the brighter part of the teaching, instead of the darker ones like I did before. I want to do well, and you should want to do well too. Motivation is a LARGE part in doing well in school, and you need it to help you along in life.

  3. What motivates me to learn in school is having someone that wants to teach you. Having a good teacher who is willing to work with you and help with any questions you may have is a very positive environment to be in, which makes me excited to learn and do good. The more I learn and understand about what is being taught the more I want to learn and excell in that class and the subject.
