Mobile computer technology is everywhere! Its an integrated part of life now in all settings. What are your thoughts on this video and its message? Please be thoughtful, critical and detailed in your post. These blog topics are to enlighten you and your fellow students. The link to the video is, "Autocorrect Humanity." You can find it on YouTube by doing a search.
What are my thoughts on the video? It is completely true. So many people are just wasting their time and energy away on the internet, when we should be spending time with the ones we love. Every generation, people are become less and less social in the society today. Look at this fact; When I was in elementary school, I never thought of even having a phone or an iPod or anything like that... Today, to THIS day, even little kids have phones and iPods to play on! They aren't going outside to play or draw or anything! So my thoughts if the video? People should take it more seriously than some people have.maybe one day... We could live in a world without internet being in the way...
ReplyDeleteI agree Abby, kids shouldn't sit on their phones or ipods, they should go outside and hangout with friends. Plus, the internet can get kids in trouble easier.
DeletePhysical, social interaction where you can share, express your thoughts, feelings, etc... is far superior than the Internet
Deletegood post i agree
DeleteNice post this is true
DeleteIt wasn't that long ago that people didn't have iPhones or even the Internet and the were perfectly fine. Now people act like if they don't have their phone for five minutes that they'll die. People should take the time to get away from their phones and the internet every now and then.
DeleteI feel like the internet can get in the way depending on the person using it. Some people will always be motivated by the things they see online and want to do more, but some just get sucked away and waste their day on it.
DeleteThis is a good point Abby, kids miss so many opportunities in the world because of being on their phones.
DeleteI really wish that we could auto correct humanity. People just skim along day by day thinking "everything's alright." Well guess what. Its not. It most likely never will be unless we get it together and start improving our societies. Technology is a great tool, but we abuse it. Its unfortunate really, how much people are looking down, instead of at the people we love and care about. We are raising our next generation to be fools by giving our children their own unnecessary technology and they're going to be just as bad as we are. Probably worse. So good job, this generation, for screwing everything up.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, we do abuse. We have a tendency to do that as a species. Let's teach each other and our youth to be respectful and responsible!
DeleteI agree with you gabe your a genius
DeleteIt really does start with one person. If we individually begin to improve ourselves- well that's a start! <3
DeleteI think this was a really good video. It shows that everyone is too worried baout the stupid things like technology. The world would be a better place without technology we could all be outside playing sports. I think we should auto correct humanity.
ReplyDeleteThis was a true video.Technology makes you lazy. Without technology the world would be a better place. The world would have a lot of athletic people without technology. Now everybody just plays their iphones, ipod, etc.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with the video, I wish we could auto correct humanity. The way things are today may seem great & normal, but just think outside of the box for a second, if we auto correct humanity & put down all pointless technology the life around us would become much more meaningful, the world is a beautiful thing & it shouldn't take much to put down pointless technology.
ReplyDeleteIt's very true. i think people are missing great things on life because of technology. We miss our family and the world around us. What happened to the old us?
DeleteI don't like how it is today, every one on a device. They don't experience the things that make this place beautiful. I wish we could auto correct humanity but that's not possible. The only thing we can do is change it our selves. Get off the phones and computers, just go out side. People look up pictures when they could just go out. We abuse our rights to it, sure it's a good tool to have, but we use it too much. Go on a hike or a simple walk, it can go a long way. If we let kids have phones at young ages they might not even want to go outside. That's not right, we need to experience the world around us and explore, other wise we won't be able to go without them. I just hope that one day we can figure out a way to fix this.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I do not like how the world is today either... Only if it was easy to change the way things are
ReplyDeleteI agree with the video only if we could take time to see how much time and energy we put into our devices. With all the time and energy we put into them we could use for many amazing things. Like being with our family, going for a walk or even hanging out with friends instead of texting them or facetiming them. We would have so much more fun. We would be so much more happy and have less drama
ReplyDeleteI agree with the video. If we could auto-correct humanity the world would be a better place. People waste so much time on the internet and they miss so many opportunities. I think this video was very understanding and interesting.
ReplyDeleteI agree, people are turning into zombies. It's kinda sad really, how no one values conversation and how social media isn't really "social".
ReplyDeleteI think watching that youtube clip actually helped me because now i think about putting my phone down and being social and thinking about spending time with friends and family and not just breaking my neck looking down. I agree with the video, i think it will make a great impact on the world if everyone watches it and it will put so much fun and education into our lives
